Description:
Senior Geologist (on-site)
Walker Elliott is working with an upstream oil and gas company in Denver, CO and they are looking to hire a Senior Geologist. The company values innovation, technical excellence, and a collaborative work environment. Geologist will play a key role in their exploration and development efforts. This is a full-time position with competitive base salary, annual bonus and LTI.
Responsibilities:
- Providing geological expertise to support exploration and development efforts in Texas and/or Rockies
- Evaluate and execute exploration and development projects, focusing on maximizing resource potential and economic returns
- Conduct details geological analysis, well log interpretation, core analysis and petrophysical evaluations
- Generate geological maps, cross-sections
- Evaluate exploration prospects and assisting in preparing technical evaluations
- Field development planning and production optimization
Requirements:
- MS in Geology
- 8+ yrs. of relevant and recent upstream experience
- Rockies focus is MUST.
- Strong geological interpretation skills, including experience with well log analysis and reservoir characterization.
- Proficiency in geological software programs (such as Petra, Kingdom, Geographix)
- Excellent communication skills
