Walker Elliott has partnered with our client to locate a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead the development of a cutting-edge process analyzer utilizing both infrared and fluorescence technologies. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept and R&D through production, field testing, and launch.

Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership:
  • Develop and manage the project plan, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, manufacturing specialists, scientists, and technicians to ensure project goals are met.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
  • Manage project risks and proactively identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Oversee project deliverables, manufacturing and assembly, field testing, and ensure they meet quality and performance expectations.

• Technical Expertise:
  • Define the initial project parameters and technical specifications for the new process analyzer.
  • Select and implement optical measurement techniques, including fluorescence emission, near-infrared absorption, and scatter.
  • Develop and implement a GANTT chart to track project milestones and timelines.
  • Design and oversee the setup of test protocols for equipment calibration and performance evaluation.
  • Analyze and interpret data from testing and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.

• Additional Responsibilities:
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in analytical instrumentation and optical measurement technologies.
  • Prepare and present project updates and reports to stakeholders.
  • Document project activities and procedures effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of optical principles, measurement science, and instrumentation.
• Proven experience in project management, ideally within the R&D or engineering environment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with GANTT charts and project management methodologies.
• Experience in designing and conducting test protocols for analytical equipment.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools for data analysis and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience developing or working with process analyzers for hydrocarbon detection.
• Experience with fluorescence emission, near-infrared absorption, and scatter techniques.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards for analytical instrumentation.
